And have FRIENDS re-runs started making anyone else feel really old? I think they make me feel old because all of the characters seems so timeless to me. And they’re hardly aging over there in Hollywood– when I see Jennifer Anniston on the over of PEOPLE, she looks like she could have just stepped out of Central Perk! But then, here I am watching an episode or two, and BAM! Ross pulls out his pager! His pager, people. So it hits me: this isn’t real-time. This isn’t now. This isn’t even 10 years ago! Ross’s pager days are a good 15 years ago! HOW DID THAT HAPPEN??? Anyway. That’s not actually where I was going with the FRIENDS thing. What I meant to say is, who remembers the episode with Rachel’s gross trifle? And Joey eats it and says, “What’s not to like? Custard, good. Jam, good. Meat, goooooood.” Sometimes, when I make something really yummy, that’s how I think about it. Like this Churro Caramel Sundae Sauce… Brown sugar, good. Butter, good. Cream, goooooooood. Only it’s not just any ordinary cream. It’s Churro Caramel Creamer, one of International Delight’s Coldstone Creamery inspired flavors. I mean, can you even wrap your brain around how delicious this is? Churro Caramel Sundae Sauce made with Churro Caramel Creamer… Let that sink in for a moment. Oh, and did I mention how easy? Like ridiculous easy. Just a few simple ingredients, a saucepan, and a whisk. Ka-blam. You’re done. And between you and me— you don’t even need ice cream for this stuff. Just grab the spoon! Continue to Content Churro Caramel Sundae Sauce Print Ingredients 1 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup Churro Caramel Creamer* (International Delight) 6 tablespoons butter 1 teaspoon vanilla 1/2 teaspoon baking soda Instructions Stir the butter and the brown sugar in a large saucepan over medium heat until the sugar is mostly dissolved. Add the creamer and continue to stir until a boil starts. Turn the heat to medium-low and allow to bubble for minutes without stirring. This is why you need a large saucepan-- otherwise you're in for spillage! Remove from heat and stir in the baking soda. It will bubble up and look foamy. Add the vanilla and continue to stir until the "foam" has settled down, and it looks like the sauce as pictured. The sauce is delicious at any point, but very best after it's rested for about 20 minutes. At that point, it's had time to cool and thicken, but it's still warm and gooey. Notes *you can substitute regular creamer, but it will lack the "Churro" flavor. Ok, so now you have the recipe for the ultimate caramel sundae sauce. Now you just need the ice cream and some of your favorite peeps to share it with! Oh well, hey! Look-y there.
