  1. Let the dough thaw.
  2. Cut slits in the sides of the rolls.
  3. Fry the dough.

Ingredients

  • 12 Rhodes Rolls Bake N Serv rolls, thawed and risen
  • 4 cups vegetable oil for frying
  • 16 ounces orange frosting, store-bought or homemade
  • ¼ cup green frosting, store-bought or homemade
  • 6 mini pretzel rods
  • green candies, like candy coated sunflower seeds, for leaves
  • candy eyes
  • 10 chocolate sandwich cookies, crushed

Instructions

  1. Heat oil on MEDIUM HEAT until test droplets of water sizzle and pop in the oil.
  2. Use a knife or scissors to gently cut shallow slits around the edge of each piece of dough. Drop the dough in the oil and fry on each side until golden brown. Let cool on a paper towel.
  3. Melt the frosting in the microwave for about 30 seconds, just until melted enough to dip the donuts.
  4. Dip each fried donut in the orange frosting.
  5. Pipe green frosting on top for the vines. Add the candy eyes and the green candies (leaves).
  6. Break each pretzel rod in half and press it into the tops of the pumpkins as the stem.
  7. Pour the cookie crumbs on a large serving plate. Place each pumpkin donut in the dirt (the crushed cookies) to serve.
  8. Serve immediately and eat within the same day.
