With the Super Bowl coming up next month, I’m already thinking party food! And since we’re still in January, the official month of eating low cal/low carb/low allthethings, I decided to make you a skinny sweet dip.

A dip that taste like brownie batter and peanut butter. That you could literally eat with a spoon. And that doesn’t require fat pants.

The ingredient list here is pretty simple:

Low fat vanilla yogurt. I like using Danon’s Light and Fit Greek Yogurt in vanilla. It’s rich and creamy and yummmm.

Cocoa powder, flour, and brown sugar. Just like in real brownie batter.

Peanut butter. Because this is peanut butter brownie batter dip, after all. And Reese’s pieces. You could also use Reese’s cups if you wanted. I just felt like I could do more with less Reese’s Pieces than cups, keeping calories in mind.

Just look at that creamy peanut butter swirl!!!

And, texture freak that I am, I just love all the textures going on in this dip. It’s smooth and creamy with a thick swirl of peanut butter and lots of crunchy candies throughout. Add even more texture by dipping a juicy, crisp apple or a salty pretzel!

If you’re a batter bowl licker like I am, this dip is for you. Share it as party food or eat it all by yourself– I won’t tell! And neither will your waistline.

Enjoy!

Skinny Brownie Batter Dip

Yield: 8 servings

Peanut butter chocolate-y dip that tastes like brownie batter! You won't need to put your fat pants on for this recipe though. It's made with low fat yogurt and is delicious with crisp, juicy apples.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups low fat or nonfat vanilla yogurt (I like Danon's Light and Fit Greek Yogurt)
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter (you could experiment with PB2 for less calories)
  • 1/4 cup + 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • 3 tbsp Reese's Pieces, crushed (reserve 1 tbsp for topping)
  •

Instructions

Whisk together the yogurt and peanut butter.

In a separate bowl (this helps prevent lumps), mix together the cocoa powder, the flour, the salt, and the brown sugar. Mix the dry ingredients into the wet, whisk until smooth.

Fold in 2/3 of the crushed Reese's Pieces. Transfer to serving bowl and garnish with remaining Reese's Pieces. Keep chilled until ready to serve.
