Recipe Tips & Notes

  • Be sure to work with room temperature ingredients to get incredibly moist and fluffy cupcakes.
  • Use the spoon and sweep method for measuring flour. This will also help keep the cupcakes moist.
  • To really put these cupcakes over the top, use my homemade caramel recipe for the drizzle on top!

Snickers Cupcake FAQ:

How to Store the Snicker Cupcakes:

These cupcakes can be kept at room temperature for about a day and a half before the candy bars get soft. If you don’t plan on eating them all in one sitting, I recommend keeping them chilled in an airtight container.

What if I can’t find Snickers Bites?

The good news is that these cupcakes can be made with just about any candy bar you like!

What frosting is best for the Snickers Cupcakes?

A lot of readers have been asking which type of frosting goes best with the Snickers Cupcakes – I used vanilla buttercream, but cream cheese is also delicious!

How to Decorate Snickers Cupcakes:

1) Fill a piping bag with vanilla frosting and use to top cupcakes.

2) Melt chocolate ganache in the microwave for 30 seconds, until smooth when stirred. Use either a spoon or pastry brush to coat tops of cupcakes with chocolate.

3) Place snickers bite on top of each cupcake, securing with either another smear of melted chocolate or leftover vanilla frosting.

4) Dust cupcakes with graham crumbs using a fine mesh sieve. (Don’t worry about coating the entire surface – you want to mostly see the tops of the snickers bites). Enjoy!!
