And I do mean, all over the place. I’m up to my eyeballs in Pinterest, Something Swanky, Facebook foodie blogger groups and pages, and Google+ foodie blogger communities. When My Recipe Magic came to town, I was a little wary of yet another place to talk about recipes. I mean, a girl can only do so much, right? But the fact that a group of my absolute favorite bloggers ever, Six Sisters Stuff, created the site was enough to warrant a thorough checking out and quick trial. I was absolutely and thoroughly impressed! I love this site for two important reasons: First, and most obvious, it’s an excellent recipe resource! It’s a lot like Pinterest in that you can just browse through recipe photos that people have loaded on to the site, and I can appreciate that feature. But it’s also so much more in depth, including the list of ingredients with a link to the site for the full recipe (Pinterest is just barely catching up to My Recipe Magic on this!), nutrition information, save your favorite recipes, menu planning, and you can even create a cookbook with all of you favorite recipes! It is so user friendly, and I just love that. I need that burger in my life…. just FYI. The second reason I love My Recipe Magic is because anyone can contribute to it and get paid for their recipes! You don’t even have to have your own blog or website. Anyone can contribute! And hey bloggers— you can use it to generate more traffic to YOUR site. My Recipe Magic is typically in my top 5 traffic referrers! Simply add your photo, description, and a list of ingredients. Then add the link to your post and people click through to your site to see the full recipe. You also have the option to add “Related Posts” to the bottom of your recipe post on MRM. These are free links! They appear at the bottom of your recipe posts on My Recipe Magic and link directly to your site. That’s just traffic waiting to happen! And there are lot of different ways to cross promote recipes on the two sites. I think you’ll find My Recipe Magic to be a very effective blogging tool. If you’re not a blogger and you have great recipes to share– this site is for YOU! That was my first thought when I started playing around with My Recipe Magic. If you’re someone who has great recipes, but you don’t have the time or the interest in cultivating a full-on blog, you could simply upload your recipes and photos to My Recipe Magic and get paid from there! It’s a great opportunity to earn some extra money working from home, using the same method and concept as food bloggers– but without all the expense and headache of maintaining your own blog! It’s seriously a genius idea. Here’s a great explanation directly from My Recipe Magic of the site and summation of how you can utilize it: For anyone who loves recipes, MyRecipeMagic.com is the website is for you. This new recipe sharing community was created by the sisters at Six Sisters’ Stuff as a way for recipe lovers, food bloggers and foodies (food lovers) like themselves an easy way to share recipes, create custom cookbooks, menus, shopping lists, see nutrition values, earn extra income, and get more traffic to their site! How it works is you submit your delicious recipe onto MyRecipeMagic.com, promote it by sharing it on Facebook, Pinterest, Google+, Twitter, and any other social media site you love to use, and earn money! MyRecipeMagic.com has a “Magic” button you can add to your blog to that will direct your readers to your recipe on MyRecipeMagic.com. The more your recipe is liked, shared, and viewed you more money you make! The money is made by shared ad revenues on MyRecipeMagic.com. The great thing about MyRecipeMagic.com is that it creates a ping pong effect between your blog. Instead of making money in one place (your blog), when you drive your readers to your recipes on MyRecipeMagic.com you earn money in two places! When you submit a recipe on the site, you have the option to not give all the directions to the recipe on MRM, therefore making the reader visit your site for the directions which equals more page views! New to the site is Reward Points! We want to treat the people to use the site. You can earn up to 1,000 points a day! Every week the site has a new prizes and a giveaway to choose from. AHHH! They’ve also provided some great answers to FAQs about My Recipe Magic: Frequently Asked Questions: 1. How long does it take to enter a recipe? The first time I did it, it almost took me 10 minutes. I’m still learning how to really maximize its potential, but I’m really loving My Recipe Magic, and I know you will too! So head on over and check it out!

Thanks for the info. I am currently using myrecipemagic. Although I am still new and trying to figure out some ins and outs so this was a great help. I wonder, if you know, is there a minimum payout? I have a couple of bucks in the “account” but have never gotten paid out. I thought it was monthly? Thanks. Reply
I use myrecipemagic, too. I think I read that the payout is when you have accumulated $10. I could be wrong, but think that is what I read. Reply
After your review I think I am going to give My Recipe Magic a try. I also wanted to know what are these Facebook foodie groups that you belong to? Sounds interesting. Reply
