I’m in love with it, because you can take it in so many different directions… different flavored breads, different toppings, different fillings, etc. I love a recipe that has endless possibilities, and Monkey Bread definitely fits the bill. Plus, it’s like the ultimate comfort food, right? It is literally a pile of ooey, gooey, aromatic, freshly baked and warm carbohydrates that you pull apart with your fingers, which makes licking your fingers an absolute requirement. Does life get any better than that?? Why, yes. YES IT DOES! Because, okay, let’s face it. The ooey-est, gooey-est desserts are always the messiest, right? Always! No matter how careful I am, I always manage to make a gigantic sticky mess in my oven. Usually, it’s because I think I can double the recipe when I can’t. Anyone else have this problem? I’ll fill my bundt pan with the dough and filling, and then I think “why, that’s only halfway full. I bet I could double this and it would be just fine…” Invariably… it turns out that I can’t double the recipe after all. And, instead, there’s an overflow of sticky sweet goodness in the oven (which does not smell good at all!). Oh, and now I have an oven to clean. Lovely. Who has time to clean an oven when there’s Monkey Bread to be eaten?? Good news. It looks like LG heard about my little problem. So they came up with a rockin’ new oven that will have the oven clean in minutes, not hours– and with no smelly or harsh chemicals! All you need is water! It’s called the LGโs EasyCleanโข Double Oven Range, and its sole purpose for existing is to make it possible for us to eat our favorite sticky, messy recipes and still have a clean kitchen!! Pretty impressive, right? It provides a quick and convenient way to clean your oven, while still being able to use the conventional self-clean method. Three simple steps take from your “ick” to clean in a matter of minutes: spray the inside of the oven with water, press the EasyClean button, and in just 20 minutes you can wipe away any residual bits of grime! Pretty impressive right?? Learn more about EasyClean Double Oven Range here! And now that we don’t have to worry about cleaning up after ourselves, is anyone else so in the mood for Monkey Bread?? Now itโs your turn to tell me – what is YOUR favorite recipe that leaves your oven messy? Let me know in the comments for your chance to win your own LG EasyCleanโข Double Oven Range! My favorite messy oven recipe would have to be homemade sticky buns. I usually let them rise too long and then the buttery/sugary mixture pours out everywhere. Reply

I always seem to think that the broccoli casserole at Thanksgiving will fit inn one pan and I almost always end up with cheese overflowing! Reply
I like to oven bake my bacon….can you say grease on the inside of the oven? And yes sometimes my heavy on the topping pizza spills over slightly. But boy are they both yummy. Reply
Any fruit Pie…………ALWAYS! I think I’ll grab it before it bubbles over. Nope. And I always think of the foil under the pan AFTER the boil-over…….sigh…. That is some delicious looking monkey bread-I haven’t made one for I don’t know how long, I’ve now got a yearnin for some. ๐ And that’s one beautiful range-wow! Reply
I won’t lie. When I tried, one time only, to make bacon in the oven, I got grease everywhere. It rolled right off the rack down to the bottom. It was not very pleasant. Reply
I love to make homemade apple or cherry pie (with cherries my grandkids and I pick in Door County). Sometimes the sweet goodness ends up out of the crust. Reply
I love this giveaway! I would love , love, love to win this oven as I overflow things all the time. In fact, my oven needs a dreaded cleaning right now! The last thing I overflowed was a caramelly apple pie! What a mess!! I really like your recipes. This is a very cute font for your comments! Reply
My favorite messy oven recipe is probably my cinnamon streusel banana bread. I always overload the streusel so it spills over the sides. But OMG is it worth it! I LOVE your monkey bread roundup!! Reply
I can’t say I have a favorite thing to make that overflows. However, I have made a few things that did and I am not happy when it does. The last thing was a GF Peach cake. Oh, what a mess it was. That would be nice to have a stove to clean that quick. Reply
Hm…I don’t recall at the moment anything that’s messy, but these monkey bread recipes would have to be it when I try them! Reply
Apple pie. Every time! I love to pile it full of yummy apples which leads to a s spill over every single time. So yummy and worth it though. Reply
I always lose a french fry or two when i’m flipping them in the oven. they end up burning and leaving a big charred mess. gross. Reply
when i bake sweet potatoes. Cooking potatoes directly on the rack always works best for me, but those sweet potatoes, their juices caramelize and get all over the place. big pain to clean! Reply
I would have to say Lasagna. I always seem to fill my pan too full and it bubbles over the side. Reply
My favorite messy-oven recipe would have to be my Lemon pound cake – I always forget I have a smaller bundt cake pan than the recipe requires, and it seems to always overflow… but the product is still absolutely delicious!! I would love the new range, the oven part of mine is on the fritz and if it goes I’m not sure how long I’ll have to go without baking! Reply
Almost always apple pie. I would love to have this double oven. I have had my range for many years. Thanks! Reply
I need monkey bread in my life. Pronto. Thanks for making me realize that! My messy oven meal? Baked mac n cheese. The wife makes it but I make her fill it as much as she can because I could pretty much drink that cheese with a straw. I don’t care how bad my oven is afterwards because it would be worth it. I could eat mac n cheese everyday and be happy. Reply
Overflow? Wow. Let me count the ways. Pie’s overflowing with their juicy goodness. Oven fried veggies, spraying oil everywhere. Something with tomato sauce spilling down the sides and onto the oven walls and floor. Yup. You just about name it and it has fallen somewhere in the oven. Reply
Anything that involves caramel always gets spilled — just because it’s the hardest to clean of course! Reply
Sometimes I try to bake smaller cakes and always end up putting too much batter in the smaller dish and bam all over the oven floor. Reply

Any time I marinate anything and put it under the broiler, not only does it splatter onto the upper portion of the oven, but overflows onto bottom, too. Boo hiss! Reply

It never fails that my berry or peach cobblers always overflow and drip down the sides of the baking dish, making the worst sticky messes in my oven. jslbrown_03 at yahoo dot com Reply

I make roast chicken often, and it’s probably my favorite thing to have for dinner. The grease always splatters all over the oven, and sometimes it even smokes. Reply
My favorite recipe to make in the oven that ALWAYS makes a mess? Pumpkin pie! Somehow my pan never seems to be big enough for all the yummy filling….and for a bad smell? Burned cinnamon and nutmeg! Yuck! For a really close second, chicken enchiladas…..nothing is worse than scraping burnt cheese out of the bottom of the oven! Reply
With the kids helping to cook, it seems ALL my recipes leave the oven messy. But the exploding-baked-potato incident stands out in my mind, I must admit. Reply
I use parchment paper under my cookies to keep the pans clean. Once in a while the paper slides off the pan, fully loaded, as I remove the pan from the oven. What a mess! Reply
I tend to overfill my cake pans so I can level them to get a perfect two inch layer, but sometimes they run over into the oven. Reply
You had me at ooey gooey. Oh my gosh, I’m not even kidding, I stinking need this today. What is my deal?! I just want treats!!! Reply

The recipe that leaves my oven messy is my enchiladas! I stuff the baking dishes full and use lots of cheese and sauce which, even if I cover them, tends to bubble and slosh over the edge when I pull them out ๐ Reply

Oh that money bread looks delish! In my house it’s the berries – berry pie, berry cobbler and the berry explosions. Reply
Since Iโm realtively new to the baking scene, I havenโt had much in the way of mishaps, but I can tell you that making ice cream cupcakes can get really messy when they tip over! Reply
