My mom is the best cookie baker on the planet, and I love sharing her recipes with you guys whenever I get the chance. I’ve had an itch to make a baking mix ever since I saw Dorothy’s Brownie Mixย last month. So I decided to take our family stand-by classic Chocolate Chip Cookies and make a mix out of the recipe that is just as easy to use as a store-bought mix, but infinitely times more delicious and budget friendly! This recipe makes enough mix for about 8-10 dozen cookies (depending on how large you make the cookies)! So you’ll want to be sure to have a large mixing bowl on hand and know how you want to store it. Zip lock bags are a good option, and, as you can see, you could also use a very large cookie jar. Just like a store-bought mix, all you’ll need to do is add the wet ingredients, scoop, and bake! There’s no chilling involved (which was a happy surprise I hadn’t even planned on!). And, if you’re the freezer type, this dough even goes from freezer to oven without a problem. This recipe is incredibly versatile– I like plain chocolate chips the best, but we also frequently add M&Ms and sometimes Reese’s cups! Even though chocolate chips are pictured in the mix above, I’m not including the chocolate chips in the mix recipe, so that you can swap them out for whatever you want. Keep that in mind! If you add chocolate chips to the mix prior to measuring out for mixing, it could throw off your measurements– the dry ingredients wouldn’t necessarily be the right ratio to wet ingredients. My guess is that there wouldn’t be much of a difference in the result, but I haven’t tested it myself. How many millilitres or grams would a stick of butter be? Sounds like an awesome recipe. Have to try it. Have you ever tried substituting honey for the sugar? Reply
Google told me that there are 113 grams in a stick of butter ๐ And I’ve never tried subbing honey, but I’d love to hear if you did! Reply
