And all you need is 1 Healthy Choice or WW brand Fudgesicle + 6 Reese’s minis (not miniature Reese’s Cups)! Of course, it’s quite a bit smaller than a DQ blizzard, but that’s the point isn’t it? Portion control! Nutrition Information by my calculation: 200 calories / 8 g fat / 5.5 g fiber / 29 g carbs / 5.5 g protein Continue to Content Skinny Saturday: Skinny Reeseโs Cup Milkshake Print Ingredients 1 Healthy Choice or WW Fudge Pop (in the ice cream section) 6 Reese's minis 1 tbsp. unsweetend almond milk Optional: fat free whipped cream for topping Instructions Microwave the fudge pop for 10 seconds. Use a knife or fork to scrape it off the stick into blending cup. Blend it up with the 6 Reese's mini cups and 1 tbsp of almond milk. Top with fat free whipped cream if desired. Notes about this Recipe: I wouldn’t suggest trying to blend this in a full sized blender unless you’re making more than one serving at once. Otherwise I don’t think it will blend very well. Try to use either a single sized blending cup (my Ninja came with 2), or use this nifty trick to do a single serve blend using a mason jar and a standard blender base (like Oster). Or, you might even just be able to mash the fudge pop and the reese’s together using a fork! Substitute other 1/2 servings of your favorite candies for other tasty variations!
LOVE this! I hate the points+ system too. Too difficult. If you find anything good, old WW style, let me know! And this shake, well. My husband (and me) are gonna devour it. Reply
This is such a great post! I am in the same boat with feeling a lack of motivation so i loved this ๐ Have to try the milkshake recipe, that looks AMAZE! Reply
Completely agree! I felt really deprived on Points Plus because it was hard to even eat a Bagel Thin (that’s only 110 calories) or any Skinny Cow treats. I, too, found myself binging, so I went back to old WW. It worked and I kept the weight off for 2 years just counting calories (My Fitness Pal app). However, about 4 pounds have crept back on so if you find old WW stuff, please share the source because I may need to revisit that. Reply
Glad to hear it worked for you to switch back! I’m a little self conscious about the switch, because I’m a notorious “switcher” when it comes to weight loss methods. But… I just feel so much more in control on the old system! Hopefully the numbers work out too ๐ I’ll let you know if I find anything good– I haven’t even taken the time to look yet. But I’ll head over to Amazon soon. Reply
What a good idea to use a fudge pop and melt it down. I could eat those fudge pops all day, so I know this milkshake would be delicious. ๐ Reply
I too was not a fan of PointsPlus in the beginning. (Lost over 100lbs on the old program) But now I do the Simply Filling portion of WW. I love it and now down over 170lbs! You focus on Power Foods, eating until satisfied and don’t have to count PointsPlus. You only count for things that aren’t a Power Food and you just use your weeklies and activity PointsPlus for those. Might be something to check out. And that shake looks awesome! Good idea to use a fudge bar! Reply
I have been doing ok on PP since I started on 12/3/12 but I do feel like I’m struggling sometimes with the restrictions. I was VERY successful with the old Core Program and I’ve been thinking about doing the Filling Foods – which is like Core but modified a bit. I needed to kick off my weight loss and get control of myself again before I was comfortable to switch to Filling Foods. Thanks for the reminder and the motivation to check it out! Great job on the weight loss! Reply
Genius!!! There are always Healthy Choice fudge bars in my freezer. Thank you for sharing this! Reply
I totally hear ya! I’m not doing weight watchers, but I am watching what I’m eating so I can lose the last 8 lbs from having my baby back in December and I feel like that last few days have been bad. I rarely crave chocolate, but I had to have it last night and I ate 4 of those mini twix’s. Which isn’t horrible, but I had already had stupid greasy cheese pizza and cake from a b-day party and I was in regret city all night. So today is a new day and I’m hoping I can make better choices this week! This milkshake looks amazing! My husband is totally going to want to make this tonight. Reply
Yes! Today is always a new day! Thank goodness, right!?! I sort of went nuts on Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches last night (3!). But thankfully, that’s not really the worst I could do. And I had the points, so I can live with it ๐ Reply
I found you through Pinterest, and now my stomach is grumbling ๐ I am a long time (well, 8 year) Weight Watcher and I have all the old Flex/Core stuff! What are you looking for? I have tons of stuff like 0/1 point snacks, the old sliders, you name it! Reply
I think what I want the most are the old books– like the pocket guide and restaurant guides for classic point (not points plus). I have a good calculator, so I’m ok without the slider. I think I’ll try and dig up an old cookbook too (although I know the new books have the old points listed also, thank goodness!). Do you use the old stuff? Or the new system? Reply
I have never tried the new system, but I know that I would have a hard time with the increased points for carbs! I married an Italian – carbs are very much a part of our diet! At my goal, I had lost 60 lbs with the old flex plan, so that works for me! I have the Turn Around, Everyone Loves Chicken, New Complete Cookbook and I think one more. I do have the books that came in the kit circa 2005 – the dining out book and the main book. I can definitely scan and send you what you want!
Weight numbers drive me in sane! It’s funny how I can let the littlest fluctuations (+_1 lb) have such an effect on my mood. This milkshake looks TOTALLY yummy! Reply
Have you ever checked out Dotti’s Weight Loss Zone? http://www.dwlz.com/ She has a huge list of restaurants and foods with old and PointsPlus counts. Reply
This looks absolutely delicious! Reese’s are my favorite candy, and to have it in a milkshake? Heaven. Thanks for the recipe. I’ll have to try this soon! (: Reply
I don’t know if this helps, but skinnytaste.com has great WW recipes and she calculates old points. I’m with you on the old system- way better and more effective. I have found that I can still eat fruit and not count it on the old points system. That is something I took from PP. Reply
Thanks for this lovely idea! It’s very nice to have dessert recipes that are “affordable” in calories! Reply
