  1. I was really excited about this and I finally made it today… I’m sorry to say that I’m disappointed. This stuff is really sweet which I’d be okay with if it tasted like cookie dough but it tastes like frosting! I know it isn’t your fault, this is just your adaptation of a different recipe and I’m sure if the original recipe was better this would be perfection. I love the sound of the cinnamon, toffee and white chocolate coming together for a salmonella-free cookie dough heaven. I’m going to try to tweak it because I don’t want the idea (and all that sugar and cream cheese) to go to waste. Maybe it needs more flour and perhaps some quick oats…

    • What a bummer to hear! This was such a huge hit for me at the party I took it to (and a personal favorite, I might add)!! However, if you found it too sweet, I would definitely decrease the powdered sugar and increase the flour. That will also help it to taste more like a dough than frosting (although– essentially, that’s all these “dough dip” recipes really are, just cream cheese frosting fancied up!). A little more brown sugar will also help with the “dough” taste, but probably won’t help with the overly-sweet problem!

Hope those adjustments help some! Thanks for reading!
