Chewy, gooey, and perfect for Halloween! Plus, peanut butter and candy corn are a match made in heaven. In general, I think rice krispie treats rank pretty high up on the list of most fabulous desserts. They are chewy and gooey and crispy, all in one bite. They are highly versatile– you can really add just about anything you want. I’ve loved making krispies with Biscoff (omg, so good), toasted marshmallows (instead of microwave melted), with white chocolate and M&MS, and with butterscotch chips and Butterfingers! You also have tons of options when it comes to the kind of cereal you use. You’re not at all restricted to just plain rice krispies cereal! You can uses cocoa krispies (like I did in these Turtle Rice Krispie Treats), or Reese’s Puffs, or Cheerios just to name a few. You can even skip the traditional marshmallow coating and just melt down Three Musketeers bars instead! Today we’re getting a little crazy and shaking up the rice krispies game a little by adding peanut butter and CANDY CORN! You already know about how peanut butter and candy corn go together like cookies and milk, right? Right?? Because they do. And if you’ve never experimented with flavor duo before, you must start today! In fact, try out my homemade Butterfingers recipe made using PB and candy corn. It’s seriously so much fun. But back to rice krispie treats: peanut butter and candy corn make a phenomenal rice krispie treat. All you have to do is sub in peanut butter where you would normally use butter in a typical rice krispies treat recipe. And then mix in a handful or two of candy corn before you press it in the pan to set up. Easy peasy! And seriously so good. The winning combination of chewy candy corn with crispy cereal and gooey marshmallows just can’t be beat. Forget trick or treating candy, let’s hand out rice krispie treats instead!! PS- these work for Thanksgiving too! I always see cute Thanksgiving colored candy corn hanging around stores after Halloween, so be sure to pick up a bag this year for your November rice krispie treats ☺️. Love that this is no-bake, because I recently learned that candy corn melts in the oven very easily. This doesn’t present that problem at all! Delicious!
What? (Drops everything and runs to kitchen for a spoonful of Biscoff and candy corn!) Yes, yes, yes…this is awesome!!! Love the flavor of this so much!!!
