I asked my husband what the theme of today’s post should be.
His prompt response was, “Me.”
So I rolled my eyes, and said: “No, what’s your very favorite dessert?”
And he said, “Your kisses.”
Please don’t think that’s cute.
This is how ALLLLLLLL of our dessert conversations go.
(Does anyone else attempt “dessert conversations” with their husband?)
So I said, “For the love of Pete, what is your favorite actual-food-dessert?????”
“Lemon Meringue Pie.”
But I tell him Lemon is for spring and summer time, and to pick something else.
So finally, finally, we agreed that Carrot Cake is his favorite in-season, actual-food, dessert.
Which brings us to this post. And despite my distaste for Carrot Cake,
I still think this actually turned out to be a pretty cool collection.
And I might even try out that carrot cake ice cream….
