It’s super easy to whip up, impressive, and can feed a crowd. I frequently take some variation of this Chocolate Chip Cream Cheese Dip to potlucks and parties, and it’s always a hit! You can find recipes similar to this one all over Pinterest called “Cookie Dough Dip.” Which is fine. I mean, there are some flavor similarities. But at the end of the day, it really just tastes like yummy cream cheese. So for simplicity’s sake, I’m just calling this a Chocolate Chip Cream Cheese Dip. But, you know… same diff ๐ . Regardless of what you decide to call it, you won’t be able to stop eating it. Just about anything you can get your hands on (including a spoon!) makes a great dipper. We usually use apples, strawberries, graham crackers, Nilla Wafers, or (my personal favorite) pretzel rods. Mmmmmmm. Pretzels are the best dippers. It’s a perfect sweet & salty pairing! Quite possibly the best part about this dip (aside from the mini chocolate chips– don’t substitute!) is the endless variety of mix-ins. You can change this recipe up in so many different ways. Just like my favorite mousse, you could serve this to the same crowd over and over again, and it’ll never taste like the same recipe twice! Some of my favorite mix-ins are Mini Reese’s Cups, Mini M&Ms, Heath Toffee Bits, and white chocolate chips! One of my most popular dips (and a personal favorite) is this White Chocolate Toffee Doodle Dip. I added cinnamon, toffee, and white chocolate to the mix– it’s heavenly! And, of course, you could go beyond mix-ins to shake this recipe up! For instance, Shugary Sweets added peanut butter to hers (YUM)! Which means Nutella and Biscoff could just as easily be traded in as well! Or Cashew Butter, almond butter, Jiff’s Mocha Chocolate Spread… the varieties just keep on coming. Hmmm…. I’ll be working on a Biscoff recipe later this month. Perhaps a Biscoff Toffee dip is in my future!? I hope so! I hope you’re enjoying this series of my favorite basic recipes as much as I am! If you’ve missed out on any, you can find them all right here. My recipe is slightly adapted from Add a Pinch. Continue to Content Chocolate Chip Cream Cheese Dip Print Ingredients 8 oz cream cheese, softened 1/2 cup butter, softened 1/4 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup flour (optional, I like to add it for a more "cookie dough" like texture, but it only makes a marginal difference) 2 tsp vanilla 1/2 tsp salt 1 cup powdered sugar 1 cup mini chocolate chips 1 cup Heath Toffee Bits (not Bit O' Brickle) Instructions Beat together the butter and cream cheese until smooth. Mix in the brown sugar and flour. Mix in the vanilla and sea salt. Use a sturdy rubber spatula to mix in the mini chocolate chips and Heath Toffee Bits. Keep chilled until ready to serve. Oh my gosh, yes! I would totally do a Nutella mix-in for this recipe. This is great, Ashton! (: Reply
now that’s a dip! LOVE the cream cheese. This is SO gonna happen after Vegas – have a wonderful holiday Reply
This dip looks amazing! I am much better at remembering a dish if the name makes sense and that’s why my husband and I unintentionally rename things all the time. Reply
I made this dip for a family getaway a week ago. It was way too salty for my taste. I followed the recipe exactly and 1 tsp of sea salt is just too much. I’ll probably try it again someday, but reduce the salt to 1/4 or 1/2 tsp instead. Reply

Would have been good except for the salt. It was so salty, I had to throw the whole thing away. I’ll leave the salt out next time. Reply
