  1. Oh man Im with you o the carollers! Thankfully it doesn’t happen really door to door here in Australia, not that I have encountered anyway. Phew.

And this hot chocolate?! Just yes! Im going to blast the air conditioning and sit right in front of it with a big ol’ mug full right by my christmas tree.

Love it Ashton, thanks for sharing ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. I LOVE when carolers come by! I also like to go caroling but I lip sinc but I my singing pretty much would make everyone run. But, I think I’m going to love this cocoa even more! I like that it has Eagle Brand (sorry, condensed milk – we call it Eagle Brand where I’m from) in it – YUM! Thanks for sharing and I hope you get no carolers for Christmas – LOL!

  3. Edit to my post – apologies as meant to say i lip sinc because my singing would make everyone run. I should have proofed before hitting “post”.

  4. Would one batch be enough for about 25 3rd grade students? Our Holiday Party includes watching the movie Polar Express and drinking hot chocolate. Please advise so I know if I need to make a single or double batch.

    Thanks

  5. Just curious to know if this recipe made as a single batch would be enough for 25- 3rd grade students or should I double it? We plan to make crockpot hot chocolate and watch Polar Express for our Holiday party. Please advise so I know how much to buy to make this!

    Thanks

  7. I’m wondering if this can be made without the water as a thick syrup in the crockpot and then added to a cup with hot water as you serve each cup. I’m wanting to make 400 cups of cocoa – that’s a lot to make up in large pots and too much for the crockpot, but a really rich syrup or pudding consistency concentrate may work well as a mix for hot water and a large crockpot full may make enough for 200 cups. What do you think?

    • Whoa!! That’s a lot of hot chocolate!! Sadly, I have no frame of reference for any recipe like that. I’ve never tried it, and I can’t really make a good guess as to if it would work or not. So sorry!! But I’d love to hear what you end up doing!!

  8. Found your recipe while googling hot cocoa in a crock pot. We’re having a “Polar Express” spirit day at my daughter’s elementary school in a couple of weeks, and we want to serve hot cocoa to all of the kids–just a little taste at lunchtime. With 600 students, we’re a little overwhelmed with the sheer numbers, but we have 4 large crock pots ready to go to work. I’ll let you know how it turns out. Thanks again for posting the recipe. I think I’ll also have to try it out on my family ๐Ÿ˜‰

  9. I am in charge of having Hot chocolate bar at my daughters wedding reception, ย I was going to use a 60 cup coffee server, but I am very aware of the flavor being at the bottom of the pot and is that not true with the crock pot ???
