In fact, I’m not even close to the best one… I’d say I’m about 6th in line for the title, and that would even have to be on a pretty good day. Really, my mom and sister should be the ones with a dessert blog. But, sadly, I can’t get them to drop their busy lives to blog instead. So you’re stuck with me. Sorry about that. Anyway. Every time I complain to my mom that she makes better cookies than I do (because woe is me! Shouldn’t mine be the best by now???), she responds that I make all sorts of things better than she does… like fudge. Fudge is always her go-to example dessert when she’s trying to make me feel better. And it always makes me cringe a little, because seriously nothing is easier to make on this planet than fudge. NOTHING. When I’m short on time, ingredients, creativity, or anything else– I know I can always count on making fudge. It’s easy and quick, virtually full proof, requires no candy thermometer, and is SO incredibly versatile. This fudge is simply my favorite two-ingredient fudge recipe dressed up for Valentine’s day with conversation hearts and sprinkles. And a sprinkling of chocolate chips, of course! If you’re looking for a quick and easy Valentine’s day treat, this is a great one! And bonus–> aside from dairy, it’s free from most of the major allergens, so it’s classroom friendly! Continue to Content Easy Valentine’s Day Fudge Yield: 20-25 Print Ingredients 3 cups vanilla melting candy (I used Wilton's Pink colored wafers)* 14.5 ounces sweetened condensed milk Candy and sprinkles as desired Instructions Line an 8x8 baking dish with foil or parchment paper. Set aside. Over medium-low heat mix together the melting candy and the sweetened condensed milk until melted and smooth. Pour into the prepared baking dish. Garnish with desired toppings (candy, sprinkles, etc). Let cool at room temperature overnight before cutting into squares to serve. OR speed set the fudge by refrigerating it for a couple of hours (but beware of condensation forming on the fudge). Notes *A bag of pink Wilton's melting candy is approximately 2 cups, so I supplemented an additional cup of white melting candy. You could also use 3 cups of white melting candy and add GEL food coloring to reach your desired color. Don’t miss a bite!
