Between blogging, prepping for the move, planning for visitors/Emma’s birthday party during graduation weekend, the plethora of spring birthdays in our families, the end of Chris’s last semester (projects, papers, trips, oh my!), and then the normal day-to-day grind… I’m simplifying things in life as much as I possibly can in order to survive! Seriously. I’m consistently serving applesauce as an acceptable side dish 3 x day. We’re using paper plates exclusively. I’m writing blog posts with only one photo (*cough, ahem*). Bubble bath counts as soap and shampoo, right? Our brownies have come out of a box for the past 4 Sunday nights… I’m plopping Easter candy on top of pretzels and calling it all good for a new “recipe” post. …….which segues nicely into today’s post. Lovely! So basically, this is the easiest and cutest Easter mix ever. All you need is a bag or two of some pastel-colored candy melts (like Wilton’s), pretzels (round or twist), and Easter candy of your choice! I found the most ADORABLE Easter cake decorations made by Wilton’s, and I just swooned over how cute they were on these pretzels (the Peeps and carrots)!! But you could seriously use anything– Cadburry Eggs, M&Ms, jelly beans, whatever! These pretzel bites come together in less than half an hour (with chocolate set and ready to package!), and they are perfect in gift bags for teachers, friends, and random people in the street. Everyone will love these (and your schedule will too!). Continue to Content Easter Pretzel Bites Print Ingredients assorted colored candy melt wafers small pretzels (twists or circles) Easter candies Instructions Preheat oven to 350ºF. Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment, foil, or silicone. Line the baking sheet with the pretzels (they all need to be flat on the sheet). Place a candy melt on each pretzel. Place the baking sheet in the oven for 2 minutes. Remove from the oven and immediately place a piece of candy on each candy melt. Gently press the candy into the chocolate. Let cool completely until chocolate is hardened and you can easily pull them up from the baking sheet. Don’t miss a bite! Connect with Something Swanky: Looking for more Easter? I love a good, easy treat. I especially love that you used candy melts on these pretzels. What an easy fun alternative!! Reply
I love these! I have only seen the pretzels using Hershey hugs and M&Ms. Where in the world did you get those darling little candies to put on top. I have to make these (I didn’t think about using the ‘melts’ but I guess the candy would stick to that as well). You’re a creative genius!!! Reply
